| Abstract: | Several definitions of difference between fuzzy numbers are well established in literature: standard, Hukuhara, generalized Hukuhara, generalized, CIA and other differences based on joint possibility distributions. We present and compare them. An example of epidemiological model of a disease with direct transmission illustrates the different approaches.
