|Abstract:||CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools are high precision milling devices largely employed due to their high precision and simultaneous positioning and speed control of each machine axis. The main objective of this paper is to develop a virtual environment using rapid prototyping tools focusing on its implementation complexity and on the final quality result of each alternative. This work proposes applications in the devices of industrial machine tools that feature control architecture and open supervision, which can be integrated into different applications of the Industrial Automation (sensor, actuators, vision system and others) using tools for rapid prototyping of embedded control systems. The development of this research work enabled integrating knowledge in the different areas of engineering, which resulted in the implementation of a supervision and control system. Finally, this work allowed developing an open environment to capacitate professionals involved in projects in the area of industrial automation, where the main concepts and industrial problems can be verified and validated, while assisting in the analysis and implementation of strategies to develop these applications|
