|Title:||Differences Condensed In Words|
|Abstract:||The main objective of this paper is to analyze some aspects of the controversy that surrounds the word "coup", considering it mainly in the context of the impeachment process currently ongoing in Brazil. It also mentions or makes brief analysis of other controversial words and presents different meanings of the word "coup", considering two Portuguese dictionaries and two political dictionaries. Finally, it proposes several hypotheses about the meaning of the word "coup" and shows that, being it a strongly dysphoric word, all speakers try to avoid it, on the one hand, and to assign it to others, on the other hand, in what we may call "interpretation coups".|
