Abstract: This article presents the study of an aircraft electric system with emphasis in Power Quality (PQ) aspects. Like in commercial grids, problems related to harmonics, nominal values deviation, interruptions, unbalance and other parameters of electrical power, must be investigated in order to guarantee the correct operation of all electric loads installed in the airplane. Preliminary studies and tests must be done during the development of the aircraft, based on the specific standards which define the expected electric power quality and the loads behavior. Despite the PQ events are similar to the ones present in commercial grids, the electric network has different properties, as different AC feeders (with different voltages and frequencies) and DC buses.
