Abstract: A normal-state electrical resistivity of a superconducting Nb5Ge3CO3 compound is investigated. Resistivity data are taken from the superconducting transition temperature T-C at room temperature. The data are discussed based on important theoretical expressions in order to explain the normal-state resistivity of the Nb5Ge3C0.3 compound. Focusing on the best fitting Woodward and Cody model is used. An 0.77 electron-phonon coupling (lambda) is determined, which induces an important role of the electron phonon coupling for a Nb5Ge3C0.3 compound. The saturation of the p(T) at 300 K indicates that the mean free path I of the carriers is actually longer than the unit cell dimensions. The negative curvature of this superconductor is a result of the mean free path non-linear in their resulting perturbation. It is also found that the magnitude of the temperature-dependent (phonon) correlated with the resistivity decreases with the decreasing of the mean free path in the absence of phonons due to an atomic disorder induced by lattice intrinsic defects.
