Abstract: This investigation has been constituted of listening to and narrating the singular experiences that are part of the processes by which Arts teachers are educated. Such experiences have been lived in close relationship with the objects that reside in those teachers¿ houses. To meet the needs of the research, the production of the narrative interviews for the thesis followed a route mapped between Goiás and São Paulo and Goiás again. And since getting to know something is always getting to know yourself better, by listening to the teachers¿ memory accounts the investigator was able to remember some experiences that have shaped the Arts teacher he has become and also the teacher being investigated. The text has been organized in three parts: the first one was dedicated to outlining the meetings and experiences that led to the theme of teacher education and how it relates to the objects that reside in the teachers¿ houses; the second part revealed a route for the investigation: quite a winding one, rather limited at times, but plenty of rich procedural and conceptual displacements. The work is wrapped up by the presentation of the miniatures of meaning that were listened to and shared in the houses of the participant teachers. Houses as museums: that was the horizon uncovered
