Abstract: Resumo: Selecionou-se 164 voluntários, e a coleta dos sinais eletromiográficos realizou-se bilateralmente dos músculos temporal porção anterior, masseter e supra-hióideos, em 19 voluntários que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão à amostra. Os equipamentos utilizados foram o módulo condicionador de sinais da Lynx Eletronics Ltda. com oito canais, modelo EMG 1000; Placa Conversora A/D, modelo CAD 12/32 da Lynx Eletronics Ltda. 16 bites; Software AqDAnalysis 4,18 da Lynx Eletronics Ltda.; Software Lynx BioInspector 1,8r; eletrodos de superfície passivos (Ag/AgCl) da Noraxon Dual Electrodes (USA); eletrodos de referência descartável com Gel auto adesivo da Kendall Meditrace (Ag/AgCl) - Canadá (eletrodo terra); Computador Pentium IV Intel 650MHz, com HD de 80 GB, memória RAM de 512 MB. A calibração da freqüência foi de 2000 Hz, com 2048 amostras por canal e tempo de 1,024 segundo, e a regulagem dos filtros passam - alta (20 Hz) e passa - baixa (1000 Hz). Abstract: Growth, development and correct Stomatognatic System functioning can interact by a positive way or not; it could be positive if happened by natural way (without professional action) or by any kind of preventive or corrective treatment. The Functional Maxillary Orthopedics under Neuro Oclusal Rehabilitation point of view, used resources that could give conditions to the System to gain physiological normality by itself using stimulus and not inducing it to treatments objectives that don¿t should a good performance for functions, especially mastication using both sides, under physiologic way, maintaining the integrity of all system. A hundred sixty four volunteers were selected, and the electromyographic signals registration was done in 19 volunteers witch obey to criteria inclusion. The equipment used was a signal conditioner ( Lynx Eletronics Ltda ,Brazil).,with 8 channels, model EMG 1000; Converser plate A/D,model CAD 12/32 ( Lynx Eletronics Ltda,Brasil) with 16 bites; Software AqDAnalysis 4,18 ( Lynx Eletronics Ltda.,Brazil); Software Lynx BioInspector 1,8r; active surface electrodes (Ag/AgCl) (Noraxon Dual Electrodes, USA), dischargeable reference electrodes with adhesive gel ( Kendall Meditrace (Ag/AgCl) , Canada) ;Computer Pentium IV Intel 650MHz, HD 80 GB, RAM 512 MB. The frequency calibration was 2000 Hz, with 2048 sample by channel and 1,024 second, low-pass filter in 20 Hz and high-pass in 100 Hz.
