Title: A Cmos Continuous Variable Gain Low-noise Amplifier(lna) For Wlan Applications

Abstract: In order to attend the exponential growth of wireless communication in portable device market, a demand for flexible RF transceivers has become a major research interest, including those with the ability of communicating in an unpredictable environment, from very weak to highly powered signal levels without losing its functionality. In this paper we present a CMOS Continuous Variable Gain Low-Noise Amplifier (CVG-LNA) 2.4GHz ISM band with minimum NF of 1.2dB at highest gain mode, ICP of -6dBm at lowest gain mode, and voltage gain variation of 30dB, from 34dB to 4dB, while consuming 12mW under 1.8V power supply. © 2011 ACM.
