Title: Freeflow: An Integrated Simulation System For Three-dimensional Free Surface Flows

Abstract: This paper describes an integrated environment for the simulation of 3D viscous incompressible free surface flows. The environment comprises three modules: a geometric modeller module, a simulation module and a visualization module. The simulator employs GENSMAC-3D, a code based initially on the SMAC method, which uses finite difference approximations on staggered grids to solve the Navier- Stokes equations. All geometric objects (fluids, containers and inflows) are represented by a B-Rep data structure, and solid modelling techniques allow 3D multiple colour visualization. © 2000 Springer-Verlag.
