|Abstract:||This work describes the development of a dual capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (C4D) system and its application to monitor binding assays on microfluidic devices. Microfluidic devices were fabricated in poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and sealed against a glass plate containing patterned electrodes. Before the sealing step, the electrodes were insulated from the contact with the microchannel by a thin layer of silicon oxide. The avidin-biotin complex was used as model system to demonstrate the analytical feasibility of the proposed system. © 2008 CBMS.|
