|Abstract:||The rational use of energy in Brazil became essential for the survival of any company, which require a lot of energy for your productive process. The siderurgical industry is classified as electrointensive, due to the high consumption of electrical energy, your independence in relation to the energy supply is a strategic question for its survival. This work has the objective of studying the case of an electrical generation plant of the Siderurgical Company of Tubarão located in Espiríto Santo, Brazil, which operate a power plant utilizing a regenerative Rankine cycle, using siderurgical gases as fuel. These gases are from the steel production process. The study contemplates a global and of each equipment exergetic analysis of the plant using data of the original project provide by company. The diagnostic generated by the exergetic analysis, allows identify where and how execute modifications for improve the thermal performance of the plant.|
