Title: Influence Of Joule Heating On Magnetostriction And Giant Magnetoimpedance Effect In A Glass Covered Cofesib Microwire

Abstract: An amorphous Co68.15Fe4.35Si12.5B15 glass covered microwire was Joule heated to observe how its magnetic properties would be affected by annealing parameters. It was noted that annealing the microwire under applied stress prompts its anisotropy field to increase in proportion to the applied stress. When the microwire was annealed to reach its lowest anisotropy field, it was noted that its magnetoimpedance featured a sharp maxima. When it was exposed to driving currents of more than 0.2 mA, it did not only exhibit a nonlinear behavior but its magnetoimpedance also decreased considerably.
