Title: Essential Arterial Hypertension And Stress [hipertensao Arterial Essencial E Estresse]
Author: MacFadden M.A.J.
Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate whether personality traits related to external stressful situations could increase the individual's vulnerability to 'stress' and, as a result worsen hypertensive crises. For this purpose, four hypertensive patients were studied using a clinical interview and the Rorschach Test. The results indicate that certain characteristics function as internal sources of 'stress' that favor psychosomatic manifestations, including hypertensive crises.
