|Title:||Investigating Giant Magnetoresistance In Granular Alloys By Experiments And Simulations|
|Abstract:||The relationship between giant magnetoresistance and magnetization in granular materials is reviewed. Experimental data on melt-spun Cu-Co ribbons are explained in terms of a number of structural and magnetic parameters. Although these parameters can be theoretically manipulated, the macroscopic results can be obtained only by means of extensive computer calculations. The simulations are performed using a Monte Carlo-Metropolis algorithm, and they are extremely helpful to understand the role of the different terms in the magnetic and transport properties of these challenging systems. © 1999 Trans Tech Publications,.|
