|Abstract:||We revised basic concepts on epilepsy, social and psychological issues and implications of the sports practice on epileptic patients. Considering the unquestionable benefits of sporting on the seizures, on body fitness and on patients social and psychological adjustment, we can recommend that one shall encourage it in order to prevent further impairments. The risks related to sport practice are minimal but we cannot ignore them, and, therefore we recommend assessment on individual basis for each patient. Children are a special group to which physical activity plays an essential role in physical, psychological and social development and then its privation can bring bitter consequences.|
