Title: Magnetic Properties Of Si Rich Fe100-xsix Rapidly Quenched Alloys

Abstract: Crystalline Fe100-x ,Six (x = 12.1, 13.8, 20.0) ribbons were produced by a rapid quenching technique. For Fe80Si20, with increasing temperature, the AC-susceptibility increases and the coercivity and magnetostriction decrease, monotonically. However, for lower Si contents the temperature dependence of the susceptibility as well as of the coercivity and magnetostriction show humps at a temperature below 500°C. This behaviour is explained by assuming that for Fe87.9Si12.1 and Fe87.9Si13.8 a simultaneous formation of the DO3 as well as of the B2 structures is possible. © 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
