Title: Water Soluble Components Of Mouse Liver Cells Protects Red Blood Cells (rbc) Against Spontaneous And Tfp-induced Lysis

Abstract: Trifluoperazine (TFP) produces 100% lysis of RBC when added to isosmotic cells suspensions at a final concentration 0.2 mM. We founs that the cytosol and the supernatants obtained after washing mouse liver microsomes (post microsomal supernatant, PMS) protect RBS against both spontaneous and TFP-induced lysis. Beside RBC protection we describe PMS characterization which consists of pH and conductivity determination, optical and resonance nuclear magnetic (RMN) spectroscopy, chromatographic and eletrophoretical analysis. Determination of RNM and UV-vis spectra as well SDS-PAGE analysis of PMS revealed the presence of proteins and RNA(I:2) as the principal compounds together with low-molecular weight species.
