Title: Uma Nova Abordagem Para A Solucao Do Problema De Fluxo De Carga Pelo Metodo De Newton Com Otimizacao De Passo

Abstract: This paper presents a new approach to the Newton's power flow solution using step size optimization. At each iteration a scalar is computed and multiplied by the state variable update vector so as to minimize a power mismatch based quadratic function. Small and large systems are used in the simulations. Special attention is paid to ill-conditioned and overloaded systems. Even in the cases where there is no feasible operating point (solution of the power flow equations), step optimization provides meaningful and important results: they represent the closest possible point to the region of feasible operation. These results provided by the new formulation allow an important interpretation from the system operation standpoint. The proposed method can be an important tool for voltage instability and voltage collapse analysis methods.
