A produção de discursos sobre homem e humanismo no Museu do Homem Americano e no Musée de l'Homme

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar a construção e a comunicação de discursos sobre Homem e humanismo no Musée de l¿Homme (Paris ¿ França), entre 1937 e 1980, e no Museu do Homem Americano (São Raimundo Nonato/Piauí ¿ Brasil), entre 1994 e 2016. Para isso, foca-se no estudo das articulações entre a cultura material e os outros objetos museais para compreender como as narrativas expográficas dessas instituições categorizam e hierarquizam os seres humanos na produção de seus discursos, utilizando como fontes de pesquisa documentos institucionais, artigos e livros que abordem a história desses museus, principalmente de suas exposições permanentes. Com isso, almeja-se compreender como a articulação da cultura material e das práticas museológicas é capaz de indicar quais indivíduos pertencem ou não a um suposto conceito de Homem e humanidade, gerando processos de exclusão em diferentes escalas da vida social

Abstract: This work aims to analyze the production and comunication of speeches about man and humanism in the Musée de l¿Homme (Paris ¿ France) between 1937 and 1980, and in the Museu do Homem Americano (São Raimundo Nonato/Piauí ¿ Brazil), between 1994 and 2016. For this purpose, it focuses on the study of the articulations among material culture and other museological objects in order to understand how the expographic narratives of these institutions categorize and hierarchize human beings in the production of their speeches, using as research sources institucional documents, articles and books that approach the history of these museums, especially their permanent exhibitions. Therefore, this work aims to understand how the articulation of material culture and museological practices is able to indicate wich individuals belong or not to a supposed concept of man and humanity, generating processes of exclusion in different scales of social life
